Lecture Notes on Geometric Crystals and Their Combinatorial Analogues

چکیده
The first author would like to express his gratitude to Professor Okado for the opportunity to give the lectures, to Professor Kuniba for the great help in preparation of the lecture notes, and to RIMS for the hospitality. The lectures are based on the results of our research originated six years ago in [1] and continued in [2]. We start with the problem of birational Weyl group actions that served as the original motivation for this work (for the terminology and results on reductive algebraic groups, see, e.g., [8]).

Lecture Notes 1 for 254a
The aim of this course is to tour the highlights of arithmetic combinatorics the combinatorial estimates relating to the sums, differences, and products of finite sets, or to related objects such as arithmetic progressions. The material here is of course mostly combinatorial, but we will also exploit the Fourier transform at times. We will also discuss the recent applications of this theory to ...
متن کاملFactors affecting students tendency of Univercity students to Lecture Notes
Introduction: Many studies detected factors contributing to the students’ tendency to lecture notes. This study aimed at evaluating the factors affecting students tendency to lecture notes in Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences. Methods: In this descriptive study, 179 students from medicine, nursing & midwifery, health, and Paramedicine schools were selected through stratified random...
متن کاملSmartphones and Our Students:A Case of Undergraduate Students in an EFL Context
Immoderate smart phone usage usually makes the students addicted to it and spends less time reading lecture notes and textbooks. This study aims to determine university students' usage of smart phones and perceived rejection of paper books in an EFL context. The study collected data through a 20-item structured questionnaire consisting of the general characteristics, the number and hours of gen...
متن کاملGeometric and Unipotent Crystals Ii: from Unipotent Bicrystals to Crystal Bases
For each reductive algebraic group G we introduce and study unipotent bicrystals which serve as a regular version of birational geometric and unipotent crystals introduced earlier by the authors. The framework of unipotent bicrystals allows, on the one hand, to study systematically such varieties as Bruhat cells in G and their convolution products and, on the other hand, to give a new construct...
متن کاملLecture Notes Mpri 2.38.1 Geometric Graphs, Triangulations and Polytopes
These lecture notes on “Geometric Graphs, Triangulations and Polytopes” cover the material presented for half of the MPRI Master Course 2.38.1 entitled “Algorithmique et combinatoire des graphes géométriques”. The other half of the course, taught by Éric Colin de Verdière, focusses on “Algorithms for embedded graphs” [dV]. Announcements and further informations on the course are available onlin...
